Mobile Harbour Cranes
When it comes to the flexible, economical handling of containers, general cargo, bulk materials and project cargo alongside vessels of all sizes, our Gottwald brand machines provide an unrivalled range of state-of-the-art machines to meet every customer’s specific requirements: three types of Harbour Cranes with lifting capacities of up to 200 tonnes and radii of up to 56 metres. In both universal and special purpose terminals, our Mobile Harbour Cranes, Portal Harbour Cranes and Floating Cranes stand out head & shoulders above the rest.
To date, Demag Cranes has commissioned around 1,400 Harbour Cranes in some 100 countries, has continued to expand and refine the range of models and taken the lead in this challenging market.
Wide Span Gantries (WSG)
Our Wide Span Gantries offer many application options for intermodal and trimodal handling in river, maritime and rail terminals. They are used for management and housekeeping tasks in stackyards and can be integrated in a terminal’s superordinate logistic system by means of the software packages developed by us for the purpose.
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)
Our unmanned Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) are the ground-breaking solution for fast, fully automated container transport between the quayside and the stackyard. Of course, we also supply the necessary management and navigation software. As the sole supplier worldwide of this technology, we can provide holistic, fully automated solutions for container terminals.
We offer complete solutions to interconnect container transport, storage and transloading in large container terminals: Gottwald AGVs with ASCs – linked by Demag Cranes management software. Integrated solutions are supplied from a single source.
Besides conventional drive systems, the first battery-driven AGVs have now entered regular fleet service. A fully automated battery-changing station provides for seamless power supply of the battery AGVs – which represents the next step towards zero emission operation ports and terminals.
Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC)
Our Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC) perform fully automated management of container stacks and form the link between quayside and landside equipment, such as ship-to-shore cranes, terminal transport vehicles and trucks. This enables containers to be densely stacked, but logistically arranged, which facilitates short access times and optimum performance in the stackyard.
ASCs are the product of many years of intensive development work, and are an example of the power of innovation provided by Demag Cranes in automated cargo handling.
