Stoyan (Steve) Filipov
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and responsible for Material Handling
Born in Chicago in 1968, Illinois, USA
Mr. Filipov joined Terex, the majority shareholder of Demag Cranes AG, in 1994 as General Manager for Clark Material Handling, France. In 1999, he was named Vice President, International Sales, for Terex Lifting and in 2001, Managing Director for Atlas GmbH in Germany. In 2002 after the acquisition of Demag in Zweibrücken, Mr. Filipov was appointed Group President, International Operations.
Steve Filipov served as President, Terex Cranes since 2004. Then he was named President, Developing Markets and Strategic Accounts, in 2008 to lead the company’s global efforts to increase sales, distribution, and local manufacturing efforts in emerging nations. In January 2013, Steve Filipov became Chief Operating Officer of Demag Cranes AG and President, Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions. Since June 1, 2013 he is Chief Executive Officer of Demag Cranes AG, which was renamed into Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions AG. In April 2014 the corporation was converted into a limited-liability company. Since then, Steve Filipov has been Chief Executive Officer and responsible for Material Handling.
Managing Director, responsible for Finance
Born in 1962, Northampton, UK
Mark Bennett, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Sunderland University, and an Master Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Henley Management College, started his career at the Ford Motor Company in 1987 in the UK. After holding a number of key finance positions in manufacturing, product development and treasury, he took over international responsibility as European Manager for strategy, business plan and budget profit analysis. In 1999, he transferred to Meritor, a tier-one supplier for the car industry, and took over responsibility as Finance Director and then Senior Finance Director for several global product lines, based in France.
In October 2007, Mark Bennett joined Terex in the UK as Vice President Finance and Information Systems EMEAR for the Terex Aerial Work Platforms segment. After further UK based positions as Group Vice President Finance positions in the Terex Cranes and Terex Construction segments Mark took over responsibility as Group Vice President Finance for Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions in December 2013, based in Dusseldorf Germany, In April 2014 the corporation was converted into a limited-liability company. Since then, Mark Bennett has been a member of the management board and responsible for finance.
Klaus Peter Hoffmann
Managing Director, responsible for Port Solutions
Born in 1962, Hagen, Westphalia, Germany
Klaus Peter Hoffmann, who holds degrees in Engineering as well as Industrial Engineering, has been with the Company since 1988, when it operated under the name Mannesmann Demag Fördertechnik – and has held many management positions. From 2001 to 2003, Klaus Peter Hoffmann was responsible for hoists at Demag Cranes & Components GmbH and, from 2003, he was head of the Handling Technology & Drives business unit. In 2008 he was appointed head of the Industrial Cranes segment of Demag Cranes AG. From 2010, he was responsible for the new strategy pursued by Demag Cranes AG in Asia.
Since 2012, he has managed our Port Technology business as Executive Vice President. He is Managing Director of the Gottwald Port Technology GmbH subsidiary and, since its integration into Terex Corporation, has been responsible for the Terex Port Solutions business group as Vice President and Member of the Board of Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions AG. In April 2014 the AG was converted into a limited-liability company. Since then, Klaus Peter Hoffmann has been a member of the management board and responsible for Port Solutions.
Managing Director, responsible for Human Resources and Labor Relations Director
Born in 1957, Wetzlar, Germany
Peter Pohlner, who holds a degree in Business Administration, began his career at the Stuttgart plant of Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG in 1983. After holding a number of positions, in 1993 he transferred to Lafarge S.A. Group, based in Paris, a world leader in the production of building materials, as Director Human Resources and held various management positions there until 2010. In his final position, Peter Pohlner was responsible for personnel management of the Central Europe, CIS States and Turkey regions as Vice President Human Resources.
In 2010, he assumed global HR responsibility as Executive Vice President of Demag Cranes AG. Since its integration into Terex Corporation, he has headed Human Resources as Group Vice President at Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions and Member of the Boards of renamed Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions AG. In April 2014 the corporation was converted into a limited-liability company. Since then, Peter Pohlner has been a member of the management board and responsible for Human Resources and Labor Relations Director.
