Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the members of the Management Board acting as the corporate body and six senior management members who are responsible at operating level for Research & Development, Design & Engineering, Production, Product and Contract Management, Services, Sales and Human Resources worldwide. Segment reporting and the assignment of responsibilities of the Management Board members according to the Demag Cranes AG Organisational Chart are not affected by the change.

Rainer Berthan
Executive Vice President of Production
Degree in Business Administration
Rainer Berthan worked as a management consultant for customers in engineering and then moved to a subsidiary of the Daimler-Benz Group in Munich as a commercial manager and signing executive. In 1998 he was appointed Managing Director of the telecoms business unit of Tessag, a member of the RWE Group.
From 2002 to 2004 he was a member of the Management Board in the Helmut-Lehmer Group with responsibility for engineering projects in connection with telecoms infrastructures. From here, he progressed to the Weidmüller Group as that enterprise's Chairman and President where he was responsible for the subsidiaries in the People's Republic of China.
Since 1 January 2008, Rainer Berthan has been Managing Director of Demag Cranes & Components GmbH in Wetter. With effect from 1 April 2010 he represents all aspects of production on the Executive Committee of the parent company, Demag Cranes AG, whose registered office is in Düsseldorf, and, together with

Dr. Lars Brzoska started working for the Gildemeister Group in 2003 in the Management Board section responsible for strategy, marketing, sales and product development and soon after this was appointed Manager for Technical Services at the Gildemeister subsidiary DMG Vertriebs und Service GmbH.
From 2004 to 2010 he held the post of Managing Director of that company.

Dr. Martin Habert

After completing his services as a Naval Officer, Dr. Martin Habert was appointed in 1989 to the German branch office of the Swedish Alfa-Laval company where he held various positions in the "Marine & Power" business unit before being promoted to Manager of that unit.
In 2001, he became Vice President of the newly founded "Parts & Service" business segment in Germany. With effect from 2003,
Dr. Martin Habert joined Demag Cranes & Components GmbH on 1 October 2007 where he became Manager of the Services segment of Demag Cranes AG.
Since 1 April 2010, he has been Executive Vice President of Services on the Executive Committee of Demag Cranes AG.
Klaus Peter Hoffmann

Klaus Peter Hoffmann began his career in 1988 as a design engineer at Mannesmann Demag Fördertechnik. After working in various group leader positions, in 1999 he was appointed head of Central Project Engineering and Documentation at Mannesmann Dematic AG.
From 2001 to 2003, Klaus Peter Hoffmann was responsible for hoists at Demag Cranes & Components GmbH and, from 2003, he was head of the Handling Technology & Drives business unit. In 2008 he was appointed head of the Industrial Cranes segment of Demag Cranes AG. From 2010, in his capacity as Chief Advisor, he was responsible for the strategic projects of the Group in Asia and since 2012 he has been Executive Vice President of Port Technology.
Peter Pohlner
Executive Vice President of Human Resources
Degree in Business Administration
Peter Pohlner began working at Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG in their Stuttgart facility in 1983. In 1986 he became Manager of the Executive planning and deployment section of E. Breuninger GmbH in Stuttgart and, additionally, with effect from 1987, project leader for change management. After various management positions with IKO Software Service GmbH in Stuttgart and Schober Direktmarketing GmbH & Co. Hirschlanden, Ditzingen, he was appointed in 1993 by Lafarge S.A. Group, a worldwide leading manufacturer of construction materials whose registered office is in Paris, as Director of Human Resources and held a number of Executive positions at the company until 2010.
In his last position, Peter Pohlner was Vice President of Human Resources with responsibility for staff management for Central Europe, the CIS states and Turkey.
Since 1 April 2010, he has been Executive Vice President of Human Resources on the Executive Committee of Demag Cranes AG.
