Polaris Capital Management, LLC, USA informed us pursuant to sec. 21
para. 1 of the WpHG that on 12th of September 2008 the voting rights
of Polaris Capital Management, LLC, USA in Demag Cranes AG,
Düsseldorf, Germany have fallen below the threshold of 3 percent and
amounted to 2.860 % percent (605.650 shares) in relation to all
shares of the respective voting shares.

All voting rights are attributed pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1
no. 6 of the WpHG.
