Demag Cranes awarded International Capital Market Prize
Dusseldorf, 20 December 2006. In its annual awards for exceptional performance in the investment banking sector, the British financial magazine Financial News has granted the award for the "Best transaction for small and medium size companies in Europe" for Demag Cranes AG Initial Public Offering. Starting with several hundred IPOs, editors at Financial News initially compiled a selection of 10, which were then presented to a jury of 40 international capital market experts. The majority decision fell in favour of Demag Cranes IPO, which is regarded as one of the fastest in 2006. The global co-ordinators on the banking side were Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers, communications were co-ordinated by Hering Schuppener Consulting. Harald J. Joos, Chief Executive Officer of Demag Cranes AG remarks: "This prize is a terrific award for the entire team. I would like to thank everyone whose untiring commitment made the great success of the IPO possible."
