- Peter Pohlner to assume position of Head of Corporate Human Resources
- Dr. Lars Brzoska to assume position of Head of Corporate Sales
Düsseldorf, 29 March 2010. The Management Board of Demag Cranes AG has appointed two new members to its corporate senior management team as part of its ongoing effort to closely dovetail its Group's activities.
As Head of Corporate Human Resources, Peter Pohlner (53) will be responsible for the management of all personnel-related activities in the Demag Cranes Group from 1 April 2010 onward. As Head of Corporate Sales, Dr. Lars Brzoska (37) will be in charge of all sales activities throughout the Demag Cranes Group from 1 May 2010. In their new functions, both new team members will report direct to Aloysius Rauen, CEO of Demag Cranes AG. Both Peter Pohlner and Dr. Lars Brzoska will also join the Executive Committee of Demag Cranes AG.
The members of the Executive Committee include the Management Board and six senior management staff responsible for the Group's core operating activities around the globe: design and engineering, production, product and contract management, services, sales and human resources. The Management Board is setting up the Executive Committee as part of the Group’s ongoing integration process, which as reported, aims to unite the activities of Demag Cranes & Components GmbH, Gottwald Port Technology GmbH and the Demag Cranes holding step by step.
Peter Pohlner comes from the Lafarge Group, one of the world´s leading manufacturers of building materials, where he worked in various senior positions in the human resources sector. Most recently, he was Vice President of Human Resources and responsible for managing regional human resources activities for Central Europe, the CIS states and Turkey.
In the past few years, Dr. Lars Brzoska held numerous senior positions in the Gildemeister Group. In his most recent position, Dr. Brzoska was the Managing Director of the Group’s subsidiary DMG Vertriebs und Service GmbH.
